A concept which centred around nymph-like energy in an urban setting. The tights and jumpsuit, designed to evoke a soft, ethereal touch, contrast against the industrial location where we shot, the Barbican Centre in London.

This shoot combines 70s folk-horror elements with a nature-infused location and lighting, along with 90s alt-magazine vibes, all set against a dark makeup and styling aesthetic. The aim was to imbue this with a mythic undertone and transform something ordinary, such as the woodlands, into a ritualistic and performative space, achieved through the composition of the images and the model's posing.

The vibe was this sorta sea-goth, dreamlike aesthetic, inspired by films such as Eyes Wide Shut. I wanted the shoot to carry the same half-awake dream logic as Eyes Wide Shut, with familiar spaces rendered strange, desire held in suspension, and characters who are present but emotionally unreachable. The pier, arcade, and photo booth stop functioning as lively public environments and begin functioning like internal landscapes. They feel like places you’re moving through alone, even when others should be present.

It’s more about atmosphere than narrative.

These images were shot digitally with a DSLR and then edited to achieve the aesthetic of early-2000s film photography. It’s all the motion blur, grain, weird colours, and bad flash that riffs on things like Indie Sleaze and the TV show Skins.

The intended vibe was this cute-but-grunge, slightly chaotic Y2K energy, so I utilised the streetlights, noise and motion to make it look like something you’d find on a scratched DVD from 2007.

This editorial portrait series blends classical styling, contemporary portraiture, and cinematic storytelling. Drawing inspiration from 1920s fashion, the styling features dresses, miniskirts, patterned tights, and fishnet stockings, creating a vintage yet modern aesthetic.

Shot in London with a combination of natural and controlled lighting, the images feature vintage film-inspired effects, soft glowing borders, and textured overlays. Some photos use creative double exposures, blending the subject with ethereal elements such as bird wings, further enhancing the work's dreamlike, narrative quality. The teal corrugated walls, textured couches, and green outdoor spaces serve as cinematic backdrops, adding depth, contrast, and atmosphere to the portraits.

The series merges candid, documentary-style energy with stylised, cinematic composition.

A moody blend of fantasy and rebellion, this Halloween-inspired shoot explores the space between fallen grace and untamed freedom. Drawing on the visual language of dark angels and rogue pirates, the series captures a character who exists outside of neat definitions—both ethereal and grounded, delicate yet defiant.

Lace, leather, and winged textures create a tactile contrast, while settings shift from overgrown nature to stark urban spaces, mirroring the duality at the heart of the concept. There’s a quiet intensity in each frame: a sense of someone who has stepped out of myth and into the real world, carrying traces of both.

This collection isn’t just costume—it’s a transformation. A study in identity, power, and self-invention, where softness and strength coexist, and where the line between angel and outlaw is intentionally blurred.

I’d been wanting to lean further into this kinda hyper-feminine, slightly trashy Y2K look, like glossy lips, leopard print, low-rise silhouettes. It was inspired by subcultural fashion icons such as Effy from Skins and the contemporary style of bimbocore singer, Scene Queen.

Shot around my university campus, London College of Communication, with a focus on expressive presence and environmental interaction, I dropped into these really ordinary, almost empty public spaces, and this is what happened with this photoshoot. The contrast between Abby’s bold styling and the understated, everyday locations enhances the sense of drama, narrative, and attitude central to the shoot.
