These are photoshoots we shot virtually because the distance between the model and me was too great. The model and I would agree upon the styling, and then they’d take around 100 selfies/self-ortraits, with the poses and camera angles directed by me.
Once sent to me, the images were graded in Capture One and then edited in Adobe Photoshop to achieve the desired aesthetic. They were then layered to create these collages.
The desired aesthetic in each of these was something akin to film photography, featuring elements such as grain, blown-out highlights, and light leaks. The texture you can fake digitally fascinates me.
