Paparazzi-Inspired Portraits | London Music & Editorial Photography
This series draws inspiration from 1980s–1990s paparazzi photography, exploring voyeuristic energy and the candid glamour of celebrity culture. Shot in Ealing, London, the images riff on the aesthetic of Princess Diana-era paparazzi, blending unbothered, observational compositions with cinematic storytelling.
Influenced by films like Under the Silver Lake and American Graffiti, as well as the precise, moody lighting of David Fincher, the shoot combines nostalgia, tension, and texture. The photographs capture TUUDI in moments of effortless presence, creating an intimate yet performative atmosphere that feels both spontaneous and stylised.
Digitally shot and edited to emulate film photography, the series employs colour grading, subtle noise, and “dust and scratches” textures to evoke a tactile, lived-in aesthetic. This approach enhances emotional resonance and gives the portraits a timeless, editorial quality.
The project demonstrates my ability to merge cinematic influences, music culture, and fashion-conscious portraiture into imagery that is suitable for artist promotion, press features, and social media campaigns, while maintaining a distinctive, narrative-driven visual identity.
