Collaborations Between Crimson Foster & TUUDI

TUUDI (Scarlett Ash-Ingley) is an alternative pop artist based in London, crafting immersive narratives and storylines with a retrospective and futuristic electronic sound.

They began making music by posting a series of site-specific covers before releasing original music in 2024. Their sound is a balance of ethereal atmospheres, heavy basslines, layered vocals, and a blend of introspective emotions and dance-floor influences.

“LYING HERE”
BEHIND-THE-SCENES
PHOTOGRAPHY

For the filming of TUUDI’s music video for “Lying Here”, I acted as the behind-the-scenes photographer. Their first EP, also titled Lying Here, was released on January 28th 2026. This behind-the-scenes series documents the quieter, in-between moments of the Tuudi shoot, where the constructed image begins to unravel into something more instinctive and real. Moving away from the final, composed portraits, these frames focus on process: pauses between direction, shifts in energy, and the subtle negotiation between artist and camera.

Rather than treating BTS as secondary, this section reframes it as its own narrative space. There’s a looseness here, gestures unfinished, expressions unguarded, environments partially revealed, that offers insight into how the work is built. The camera becomes less of a tool for performance and more of a witness to collaboration in motion.

Influenced by photographers like Ewan Spencer, particularly his peripheral, observational approach in One Night in Watford, the work positions the camera as a quiet witness rather than a controlling presence. This documentary instinct runs alongside a more stylised visual language, where light and composition still shape the emotional tone of each frame. These references emerge not as direct imitation but as a sensibility in which image-making becomes a space charged with ambiguity, intimacy, and controlled unreality.

In documenting these moments, the series reflects my ongoing interest in the space between intention and outcome, where identity is less performed and more felt, and where the boundaries between subject, artist, and observer begin to blur.

Illuminated: Canada Waters Sessions

This series explores the interplay between artificial and natural light through outdoor flash experimentation. Shot around Canada Waters in London, the images focus on dynamic portraiture, movement, and atmosphere, capturing spontaneous, expressive moments while testing new lighting techniques.

Singer-songwriter TUUDI served as the subject of the shoot, bringing charisma and presence that shaped the session's direction and energy. She came to me with the visual concept of her being positioned in front of the London cityscape, and using flash photography during daylight. Their collaborative approach allowed for playful experimentation with composition, angles, and shadow, resulting in portraits that are both cinematic and grounded in authenticity.

Several images from the series were later used as promotional material for TUUDI, demonstrating the series' versatility for both artistic expression and professional branding. The shoot highlights my approach to portraiture: blending technical precision with narrative-driven, visually striking imagery, creating work that resonates across social media, press, and music industry platforms.

Paparazzi-Inspired Portraits | London Music & Editorial Photography

This series draws inspiration from 1980s–1990s paparazzi photography, exploring voyeuristic energy and the candid glamour of celebrity culture. Shot in Ealing, London, the images riff on the aesthetic of Princess Diana-era paparazzi, blending unbothered, observational compositions with cinematic storytelling.

Influenced by films like Under the Silver Lake and American Graffiti, as well as the precise, moody lighting of David Fincher, the shoot combines nostalgia, tension, and texture. The photographs capture TUUDI in moments of effortless presence, creating an intimate yet performative atmosphere that feels both spontaneous and stylised.

Digitally shot and edited to emulate film photography, the series employs colour grading, subtle noise, and “dust and scratches” textures to evoke a tactile, lived-in aesthetic. This approach enhances emotional resonance and gives the portraits a timeless, editorial quality.

The project demonstrates my ability to merge cinematic influences, music culture, and fashion-conscious portraiture into imagery that is suitable for artist promotion, press features, and social media campaigns, while maintaining a distinctive, narrative-driven visual identity.

TUUDI later used several images from the series to promote her upcoming shows.
